Filipino Food:Amazing Patatim, Filipino - Chines braised pork leg!

I feel so lucky to have a friend who is very talented when it comes to cooking and one of her creations that I really really like is Patatim!

Patatim or Filipino - Chinese Braised pork is made from a whole pork leg and knuckles cooked on low heat for hours submerged in a sweet and salty sauce. Star anise and the banana flower are what determines the flavors of this awesome dish.
The pork is so tender, the meat just falls off the bones! You will also love the gelatinous consistency of the tendons and the meat which literally melts in your mouth! With the addition of the the flavorful and fatty bone marrow will surely hit the spot!

Awesome Pata Tim!

Perfectly served with steam rice and chili flakes as always!

A delicacy made by my friend, @vapingbarbie
