Hello! I hope you are having an amazing day! In this episode of #TripneyJof, I would like to share my experience being part of Iglesia Ni Cristo's Worldwide Walk Fight to Poverty in Manila, Philippines. The said event was organized by the Iglesia Ni Cristo FYM Foundation to help those people who are in need of livelihood in Africa and for them to have essential needs in their daily life like food for their family regardless if they are members of the Church or not. This is from the Initiative of bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) The said event took place in several locations in the Philippines and abroad. To name a few: - Neva Ecija, Philippines - Canada - UAE - Uganda - Japan - South Korea - China - Indonesia - Singapore - Hong Kong - Italy - Egypt - Israel - Australia - France - Qwa Qwa, South Africa

First batch of people to enter the main area for walking

I woke up that day around 3:30AM (PST) to be part of the said activity of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). I gathered my things and was able to ride a van going to Manila around 4:45AM (I am from North Caloocan) I reached Rizal Park in Manila around 6:00AM which is just in time for the event.

From Rizal Park, I walked until I reached the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP Complex). I had some snacks there and then I went straight to the Entrance where we got our wristbands. I walked together with brethren from different ecclesiastical districts in Manila, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite. It was around 9:00AM when we entered the Starting area which is located in front of the CCP building. The walk took several hours because of the crowed but that is okay. It was a 1.6km walk towards Quirino Grand Stand where the Finish line is located. I was able to reach it around 11:00AM.

It was a sunny day, it was tiring, my shirt was drenched with sweat but it was all worth it! The feeling after I finished the walk is really fulfilling. Knowing that in that simple gesture I will be able to help those people who are in need. It symbolizes the love of the Church administration, the brethren, and other non-INC members who participated in the event for our fellowmen. We weren’t able to make this event without the help and mercy of our almighty God.

"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." - Hebrew 13:16 New International Version (NIV)
