We had our breakfast at Abbas Restaurant in Little India, Singapore during on our first day in Singapore.
The place is just few meters away from Kawan Hostel (Which is a very affordable and clean hostel perfect for backpackers and travelers with a tight budget) where we stayed during our trip.

Abbas Restaurant is a low-key whole-in-the-wall type of restaurant located in 28 Dunlop St, corner Jin Besar road, Little India, Singapore. They serve mostly traditional Indian with a twist of Singaporean delicacies.

What I love about this restaurant, aside from their awesome food, is that they have an open kitchen where you can see the food being cooked. They also have a huge glass cabinet where they put all of the freshly cooked food and you can just point and choose on what to order.

I actually ordered a simple but flavorful chicken curry with slices of okra. The chicken is fresh and tender plus the sauce is so flavorful and spicy in a very good way!

The owner and the staff of the restaurant are extremely friendly. I also love the place because it's not touristy.
It's a place where the locals come and eat.
You just feel like you're one of them.

Filipino Food: Insarabasab, a local Ilocano way of grilling pork!

Insarabasab, an Ilocano delicacy To be honest, this is one of my personal favorite food and I would like to share how awesome this is! This is a local Filipino-Ilocano dish called Insarabasab where the Liempo or pork's belly also known as bacon strips are roasted over to an open fire. It's almost similar to pork barbeque but what makes it more native is that it only needs salt and pepper for seasoning. This dish is perfectly served with awesome spicy-vinegary sauce and steam rice! For the Sawsawan or sauce: 3/4 vinegar 1/4 soy sauce cracked black pepper 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2 sliced banana pepper 1 red pepper 5-8 calamansi 2 red onions (You can add more chilis in the sauce) It is juicy, fatty, tender, and flavorful! You can actually taste the smoky flavor from the meat! It is plain and simple but so delicious! Baloy beach, Olongapo city Philippines This is Baloy Beach , also known as Baloy Long Beach . It is a beachfront community near Barrio Barretto in Olongapo City, Subic Bay, Philippines . It's only 160.2km away from Manila and that's approximately 2hrs and 30min drive via North Luzon Expressway. Road Trip Tip: There are numerous affordable homestays and transient houses along the beach so you can just pick and choose on where you want to stay.
